Re: (3DS) Monster Hunter 4 *.mib files
*push* According to Falo, an 8-bit XOR encryption is used. At first glance he thought it would be 0x2E 0x48 0x4C 0x12 0x10 0x0E 0xF0 0x38 but obviously this doesn't seem to fully decrypt the files but at least makes them look more structered. In the included txt you can find the japanese name of the...

Re: (3DS) Monster Hunter 4 *.mib files
They don't come from inside the ROM, Capcom offers free DLC and I just dumped these files using a proxy tool. These are however the legit files since I can remap i.e. Quest A for Quest B and the game accepts it. Once I change a single byte tho, the game spits out an error message. So there is probab...

(3DS) Monster Hunter 4 *.mib files
Hey everyone, sadly nobody was interested or able to help with the MH3U quest files but maybe I'm more lucky with MH4, Capcoms latest 3DS MonHun title. The .mib format has been used to store quest data in previous games already but same as with the MH3U .quest files there seems to be an extra layer ...

Monster Hunter Online *.pak
Hey, would be great if somebody could help me with these .pak-files. The game is based on CryEngine 3 but from what I can see they are encrypted and thus need a key. No idea on how to find it, here are two example files. http://www73.zippyshare.com/v/1612242/file.html Client Downloader: http://down....

Some info that might help:
- encryption presumably works on 8 byte block basis
- the last 4 bytes always contain the file size

(Wii U/3DS) Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate .quest files
Hi there xentax, recently the free DLC quests of Capcoms Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate have been dumped. Was looking forward to create custom quests on their basis, but of course they're somehow encrypted... maybe sb can help out with this case :) Also, the text files containing description for the next...

Bumping this since the game is playable via CFW now and it might be more interesting now since the scene is rolling again.

Re: (PSP) "Broken" GIM files?
@Kono: Mh, must have been a very long time or you are using another nickname here as well :P Thanks for validiating, it is actually GIM data. @0xFAIL: Okay I will try this, thanks :) Btw, this is a GIM format analysis I found ages ago. http://pspdum.my.land.to/psp/gim.html It is old and incomplete, ...
