Ok I hacked around with some numbers in chunk 4 and it seems to work. Mainly because I really can't follow what the other two scripts are doing... Chunk 4 looks like this float[6] ? int16 ? int16 ? texName I took the first integer and used that as the material index. Sometimes it's greater than how...

Nice. Ok, I looked at the xac file using chrrox's maxscript for reference, and it's the typical chunk-based format. One problem I see is the material chunk. There might be an extra struct afterwards which doesn't follow the proper chunk-based format for whatever reason (maybe they just hacked it in...

seriously, stop saying " use the o3d converter to bla bla bla" The reason I would like this import and export script for 3ds max to work is because you can only do limited animations with the o3d coverter, in other words, only do animation on the stuff that already exist.. for instance. Y...

Ok so an EBM file contains multiple meshes, presumably related (like all of a character's armor, etc). ECH can probably just be parsed the same way. I can look into it, but I've got several papers to write so maybe on sunday lol good to hear that my friend, but all in good time, one by one, I think...

It's a 3D model, but all of the values for one of the axis are like 0 or something, so it just looks 2D. It's like projecting an object onto one of the planes. At least, when you start rotating the model, it doesn't look like it's 3D or anything. I'm looking at it in nifskope and it just looks stup...
