Re: Rainbow Six: Siege Models Thread
If you don't mind uploading them, I'll definitely download them Neither my Google drive or Mega allows a 70GB size anyway so that thing floxay linked sound like the one. ill attach screenshots, but everything exits the same within pycharm as it does with any body or head dump, but even the mp5 that...

Re: Rainbow Six: Siege Models Thread
stopped giving guns 4k textures at a certain point Y5S3 definitely had 4k diffuse textures for guns (and pretty much almost all diffuse textures were 'double' the resolution in width and height [so essentially 4 times bigger]) they got rid of those diffuse textures with either the release of aruni ...

Re: Rainbow Six: Siege Models Thread
I've installed the 4K textures DLC for R6, now how do I extract them. When I set the python script to the 16GB .forge file it doesn't extract anything. That's probably because the texture roaming script by default filters out only diffuse textures, and the textures4 forges contain no diffuse textur...

Re: Rainbow Six: Siege Models Thread
I also struggled for a long time with combining normal maps in Blender. The normal map is vectors, so we can convert the color to a vector, we do this for both maps. rotate the primary vector by adding rotation of secondary vector. Then convert it all back to colorspace. I made a node group that wi...

Re: Rainbow Six: Siege Models Thread
Oh so I'm guessing you did some mesh data transfer to put the ripped normal data and UVs together on the same mesh? Interesting idea.

Re: Rainbow Six: Siege Models Thread
Umm what is difference of "script" and "ripped" in the method? My confusion is from thinking that script = ripped, since I run the script and it gives me a ripped thing and I don't know of another way (Discounting IGPA).

Re: Rainbow Six: Siege Models Thread
Mix RGB should not alter textures in any particular way. However, there are things to account for, for example, many render passes get treated as if they are a beauty channel that needs color management. So blender might apply filmic profile to normal map, basically squishing it's vectors and possi...

Re: Rainbow Six: Siege Models Thread
I have found combining two normal maps and then baking those on Blender gives bad results, as seen in my old Shadow of the Tomb Raider models on DeviantArt, for example, the lack of sub-surface scattering on lips. I'd rather use something like Photoshop and CrazyBump to combine multiple normal maps...

Re: Rainbow Six: Siege Models Thread
Looks good I'd wear it. I see this time around Ubi has gone with the old faithful 'don't bother' method of making a visor appear capable of being seen through. Not that the metalness 1 of the SSG headgears or alpha transparency of those football number masks were particularly better looking. Game en...

Re: Rainbow Six: Siege Models Thread
For consolidating normal map texture the Cycles baker should make this very easy, it's a method I've used often in my own assets creation at the end to make it a bit of cleaner package. I feel like I'm missing something here, the baked normal has no details at all, prolly my nodes, imma watch some ...

Re: Rainbow Six: Siege Models Thread
Hey Custard would you mind helping cleaning up the nodes for this or do you have a proper nodegroup for it? The nodes are :ninja: Also I wanna combine the normals into one texture (so no need for the mask and nodes again at a later time) but no idea how to :c https://i.ibb.co/z5PDfyZ/image.png Huh,...

Re: Rainbow Six: Siege Models Thread
I'm pretty sure it's the Y (green) that needs to be flipped when converting between opengl and dx also blue is completely lost so you either need to recalculate it, flip it or fill it with white/1 Oh, yeah from a technical perspective I'm thinking of this weirdly. I assumption that people would fil...

Re: Rainbow Six: Siege Models Thread
How do I use Intel GPA for that? Do I need an Intel CPU for it to work? Nah I have an AMD CPU myself. I wrote up something about using this program years ago, I think it's mostly still relevant: https://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=15031&start=30#p158679 It's changed a little bit s...

Re: Rainbow Six: Siege Models Thread
You are better off roaming a lower res texture, takes less time to extract them but more importantly the thumbnails load faster in windows explorer. Even though the weapon itself won't pull skins the skin will have associations with itself, i.e. if you find the 512x512 version you can then dump_asse...
