Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

Thanks :) . I've never used that tool (I mean, I tried it but didn't see what to take advantage of it for). Let's see what I dig. EDIT: looks promising. I've got some doubts about how it organises the entries (I suspect it piles up all the heads for the four body types) but I'll give it a try an aft...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

Trying using the _m texture file's alpha mask that skin showing gear seems to use in some manner. This is the Casual Vandal Jacket. The model comes with a visible shirt part that usually is textured as such for the plain variant, but it can use the character's skin textures too (the UVs match). I wa...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

Regarding SWTOR's Character Creator: is there any XML file describing the correspondence between the sliders' numbers and what they refer to? For now I'm having to find my characters' heads by eye. Things like eye, hair or skin colors seem to keep the same order in their XMLs as to what the Creator ...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

n00b here myself :) . Yes, I'm using Noesis to previously convert the meshes to .obj. My guess is that when SWTOR characters use armor that shows skin, that skin is the relevant body part's skin texture applied to those "defaultMirror" areas of the armor's mesh, isn't it? The thing is, I'm kinda try...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

Thanks. I'll try that instead of that recipe I was following.

(I've just discovered that the alpha in the _m texture files for gear pieces seems to hold the areas that let skin show in sexy chest armor pieces like, say, the Casual Vandal Jacket)

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

(follow up to this post ) ------------------------------------------------------ Regarding characters' skin (I think the Material type is called SkinB ): everything looks mostly like in the previous post, keeping consistency while making use of less channels given the simpler demands of the skin mat...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

This is what I've got out of interpreting this post and this one . I should note that, rather than using Noesis to locate specific items and produce their meshes and texture files, I gather everything "manually" out of using jedipedia.net's references: It's just that Noesis, when exporting single mo...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

Those renders of yours are most impressive and inspiring! Myself, I've been so obsessed with the matter of understanding SWTOR's materials system that I haven't tried building a proper scene yet and am just fighting the whole thing to get my player characters to look right. It doesn't help that I'm ...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

Does anybody know of any forum/thread outside Xentax where actual usage of SWTOR's texture files in packages such as Blender is discussed? Out of this thread I've figured out most of what each type of texture (_d, _n, _m, etc.) and its channels do, but I still have holes in my knowledge (say, how to...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

…since BioWare has yet to release the music that was made for Ossus, I decided to just try and put one together myself. But, I could use some help/pointers, as I really don't want to just sit on Ossus or Dantooine and record only the music (I did that on Quesh and Ilum, and it was not fun). So, I a...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

Sorry, I meant some way to extract only the new items in your latest file instead of just everything all over again. I'm guessing I could try finding some utility that shows the differences between your latest hash file and the one before it, and feed the result to EasyMyp. (It wouldn't be a problem...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

Hashes file updated to PTS 6.0.0 #4 https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1VmoAOY9EM12BV5qeWkiAHaef6nDR0XBT?usp=sharing Thank you! A question if it isn't a bother: Could you point me to some guide about how to have EasyMyp extract only the difference between a new hash file and a previous one? I u...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

Noesis to the rescue (but how?)! Using Noesis' SWTOR plugin's texture loading functionality (which I discovered a couple of weeks ago by watching RealymanLP's YouTube tutorial… in German, a language I don't understand. Luckily, the involved steps were quite clear in the video anyway) I tried preview...

Re: Star Wars - The Old Republic - Beta

The Outbreak Response Lightsaber exists at TORCommunity's 3D model viewer as Lightsaber Style 40. You can check it here , too. It's fully textured in the viewer, so I assume the saber has to be listed somewhere in the game's XML files including model and texture references. Interesting: Searching th...
