Re: Deserializing UbiArt files
I've been editing files manually, but I can't do much. I can change textures, change size of the font sometimes, remove items and sometimes add. I've been hoping something can be done with those damn serialized files to make editing easier. I've been trying to edit size and placement of certain tex...

Re: Deserializing UbiArt files
Hi, I'm the author of ubi-canvas. :) Sadly, even I can't help you and I doubt there is anyone who can... Here's why: UbiArt is an engine that has thousands of differently serialized classes baked into the exe files, with even classes that are common across multiple games having differences per game/...

(Solved) Terra Battle 2 resource files
Hey there, I'm looking for assistance to decompress Terra Battle 2's resource files. They're extensionless and seem to be headerless as well - just compressed (at least it seems to be compressed) blocks of data. I can find references to zlib as well as lzma in the game's code, but I don't see how I ...

Rayman 2 *.dsb files
Hey there! I'm looking to decompress (and recompress) the *.dsb files found in the PC version of Rayman 2, but I haven't been able to figure out the compression format yet. I suspect these are compressed versions of the *.dsc files used in Tonic Trouble (which used the same engine), which were long ...

Re: Tonic Trouble MPX files
I'm still looking for this, and any help at all would be fantastic. I figured out a little more by doing some tests while playing and updated the first post with all the relevant details on the format I was able to figure out (not much). I also added 3 examples of mono Ubisoft MPEG files (they're vo...

Re: Rayman 2 - (LZSS?) Compression
Thanks, but I have. The PVR files I extracted from the archives don't work in it because they seem to use another compression on top of the PVR format (should be LZSS) - that's what my question is about. The uncompressed files should be viewable with PVR Viewer.

Rayman 2 - (LZSS?) Compression
Hey everyone, I'm trying to extract textures from Rayman 2 for Dreamcast. They're in the PVR format , but it seems they are compressed. I extracted the textures from an archive with a "LZSS" header - so that's why I think they might be LZSS-compressed. Any help? :) Here's my script for the archives,...

Rayman 3 (PS2) *.TBF files
Hi guys, I have ventured into graphics file formats before, but I know absolutely zero about PS2 graphics formats. If you do, I could definitely use your help with these files! https://app.box.com/s/irky7011bmvwmbgbob22 They're from an early demo of Rayman 3 and I think there might be some interesti...

Re: Researching of a .dat archive with a .mnf file.
After the latest update, it seems that as LennardF1989 said, eso0000.dat is compressed differently, or the MNF records are just wrong for that file. I haven't got the time to analyze it properly, so is anyone interested? I'm currently using this adapted script to extract the audio and the ZOSFT only...

Re: Tonic Trouble MPX files
I'm still looking at this and still quite stuck. I've started actually playing the game and trying to see how it plays the music. It seems if you change the "2RUS" to "1RUS", it attempts to play the tracks in mono, showing how the channels in these files are interleaved.
Any help please?

Re: Tonic Trouble MPX files
Here's a quick bump, adding more files and hoping that someone might look at it: https://app.box.com/s/4a8u0kbfe1izlewedqjl
I also attached the DLL files that are used to play these MPEG audio files. Will anyone take a look or am I doomed to search alone forever?

Re: Tonic Trouble MPX files
My apologies for again necroing this old thread, but could anyone please look at this? I've attached two files to my post that should each contain a small segment of a song. According to descriptions in the CSB and BNK soundbank files, they should be 44100Hz, 16 bits and stereo... 2RUS.zip This is w...

Re: Researching of a .dat archive with a .mnf file.
Extracting the audio is easy, you can do it with my QuickBMS scripts to extract everything using the MNF files. You'd better just extract all the archives in one go though, because the files the MNF file points to is divided over all of those DAT files. Psst! If you know how to use Google, you can a...

Re: Researching of a .dat archive with a .mnf file.
Interesting - there are only 1768 valid indices in the MNF, although there are 1772 records in the ZOSFT file. It's not so hard to combine those indices with the ZOSFT without checking their validity though: they return in ZOSFT block 2.3 (that is, the third zlib block of the second big block, so it...
