I've changed few bytes in unpacked graphics/vehicles_nexus/land/muscle/muscle_03/ files and packed them back into patch.fat and patch.dat. Put them both into data_win64 folder and run the game. but I see no changes on respective models. Looks like modified file is ignored. May be I've missed some p...

What? Don't mistake proprietary formats with obfuscation. :roll: From my understanding, Watch_Dogs relies on shaders to finalize the "look and feel" of the model. This basically means you can achieve something similar to that of obfuscation by requiring the shader to perform the necessary operation...

I don't have access to Russian or Japanese copy of the game. It's OK though, the lists should contain the same file names as the Russian and Japanese copies.

@Chipicao No I mean not unpacked but the repacked files. The game runs with a repacked common.dat (and doesn't without a common.dat), though there were only about 30% of all files found in the common.dat when I tried this, so I'm wondering if the game just didn't need the unknown files in the first...

Put modified files in clean patch.fat/dat, why is this hard? @Rick how does your tool work, does it just require valid path\filenames? I reckon I could use my script to parse all geom files and get material filenames + .xbgmip files which usually have corresponding .xbg with the same name. Is there ...

So don't rebuild the absurdly large archives? Why would you do that?

Edit: I did just fix a bug with packing though, that probably caused your issue. Really though, you shouldn't be repacking that archive.

No for both. GEOM format is actually new to Disrupt, Dunia 2 had a different format (or version). XBT is same but it's simple enough that I never wrote tools for it.

Additional note: game will load patch.fat/patch.dat if it is present and override content as expected, just like Far Cry 3, even though it's not used yet.
