keep in mind source files might not be stereo, so importing it to stereo tracks would make it play twice as fast but the same or similar pitches to the ones you hear in game. if it sounds off in both speed and pitch, you have the wrong sample rate. commonly used ones include: 48000hz 44100hz 41000hz...

IIRC, They use FMOD audio FSB. you may have to open the file with a hex editor and delete everything leading up to the fsb header (FSB4 or FSB5). for example, spdrvjoe.sds has some animation data at the start (probably for when he says things) and then at offset of 4295 the first FSB4 header starts....
