Re: [DOC] Xbox360 texture basics, swizzling, endian

I have written a large article about Xbox360 graphics storage methodology: http://dageron.com/?page_id=5238&lang=en It has all info about swizzling (tiling), endiannes and other related things (D3DBaseTexture specification also). Everything this I used in my GTA V Console Texture Editor . Necessary...

Re: Sherlock Holmes *.tex files XBOX360

You can use NFS Shift Xtx to Tga to convert .tex to .tga. Then use .rdf file which is configured by xtx to tga.exe and Bundler.exe from Xbox 360 xdk to convert .tga to .xpr. Drag rdf to bundler.exe -> copy texture data from created xpr from offset 0x80c with hex editor and paste it to .tex file (tex...

EASTL hash for file names in .big file

Hi, I have been looking a way to calculate hash value for file names from this kind of EA's .big archive (http://aluigi.org/papers/bms/fightnight.bms). I think it's some kind of EASTL hash but I'm not sure. Same hash is used also in .bh (big header file) files from FIFA series but I haven't found a ...

Re: NHL Legacy Xbox Rx2

I made noesis script for rx2 3d models. There are script for stadiums and different one for jerseys, faces and others. Script doesn't support materials yet, Stadium containers have textures and models in same file and I have spent a lot of time how to identify material and texture indices for each m...

Re: 3D Model Researcher - extract 3D models with Python

Thanks! I tried with option Tri Strip or Try Strip FF and that's why faces didn't displayed correctly. I tried Triangles with count 2754 and thats why I got error but when divide faces count by three (918) faces seems to be correct. :)

Here is H2O sample and template files. In MR faces doesn't look correct.

Re: 3D Model Researcher - extract 3D models with Python

I found one more option that MR doesn't have but Hex2O has. There is no option "noStr FFFF" for faces, only "Triangles", "Tri Strip FF" and "Tri Strip". I Think it's not necessary for most of models, but I have the only one which that option does matter. :D

Not yet, It should write a python script for rx2. That isn't so easy and takes a time, but maybe sometimes I will try.

Re: EA Games RX2 EXPORT Script [EA Skate 1,2,3 / Def Jam / N

I downloaded 2014 instead because the server for that was faster, and it works! :) You can play from unpacked files. I unpacked all the BIG files containing audio, video, 3D models and Textures and it plays perfectly fine ^^ So my guess would be that it works for all the games with Big files withou...

Re: EA Games RX2 EXPORT Script [EA Skate 1,2,3 / Def Jam / N

Thanks! I’d like to know if it’s possible and then I may upgrade my console to rgh-modded instead of xkey which allows only modded Iso-files. Iso modifications works 99% perfect but I want to add a few extra textures in game. That isn’t possible because there is unknown Hash or CRC for names in the ...

Re: Help needed with Xbox 360 texture format.

It's a slightly difference between noesis and unbundler extracted images. Noesis extracted is grayscale and transparent instead of unbundler image is colored. I don't think how about other images but that is what I noticed.

Re: Help needed with Xbox 360 texture format.

Yes, It's probably R5G6B5. I converted your file to xpr and make rdf file with unbundler and got the texture format. I think you did same :) <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <RDF Version="XPR2"> <Texture Name = "strName" Source = "strName.tga" Format = "D3DFMT_R5G6B5" Width = "128" Height = "...

Re: 3D Model Researcher - extract 3D models with Python

Update Apparently, unsigned Short is used in Hex2Obj when reading textural coordinates. I added a new type to the block UVs - Short. Thanks for finding bugs and flaws! New versions are available on the site. The update for the Pro version will be released later. Thanks for the quick response. This ...

Re: 3D Model Researcher - extract 3D models with Python

I updated the version for Windows XP. Thank you! My last question is about uv’s. I can’t get right values with type Short_sign in MR Xp version. Is short_sign same type than WordUV or Short All in Hex2Obj which I can get right values for Uvs? My model information Big Endian Vertices: Offset: 0x800 ...

Re: 3D Model Researcher - extract 3D models with Python

There is a bug in Xp version of Model Researcher v2.4.2. My model is big endian and vertices is half-float and faces is short. Trying to toggle endian there is no effect and values doesn't change. Setting type to float endian change works properly. I don't know how it works in latest version v2.5 be...
