The XBT you've found is the one you're looking for.

You can add any filenames you found to Projects/FileNames.list. In most cases though, the game only references texture files (and other resources) by hash, meaning it's practically impossible for us to get the original filenames for them.

I can't be the only one who wants to start actually modding the game, and not just extract resources from it.
Surely there must be somebody around who is capable of making a unpacking/repacking tool?

So the terrain is generated based on those "maps" when starting up the game, or how can I understand that?

So how can the *.obj and *.ascii files be merged together? There's probably a really obvious way, but I still fail to see it.

@mono24: Does the post contain anything about the map geometry format? No, only that the tool extracts the necessary data directly from the *.dat archives.

Thanks so much for your effort, please keep working on tools like this!

Are the map geometry files in XBG format?
I'm hoping we can somehow do the same with the map from Watch Dogs, assuming the file format is the same.

I simply didn't expect a 3dsMax script from 2013 to still work, and not everybody can recognize software from a screenshot that's not even full screen sized. That's 3dsMax in the screenshot, everything has been posted already since 2013, but I guess that's what happens when no one cares to do a bit of search in the forum anymore, damn. Inappropriate answer for a serious question. I was expecting a proper method instead of a plugin for a professional mod...

Everything can be unpacked, it's just a matter of finding the files you want as we don't have a complete filelist. As for the models, I don't know if the XBG format has changed from The Crew 1, but at the moment there's no way to open them, they are different from Watch Dogs and Far Cry XBG for sure...

Could one of you guys maybe take a look at road66database/item.babdb in scenaric.dat? That seems to be a pretty big database with every item in the game.
