Re: Tomb Raider (2013) (PC) (PS3) (XBOX) (*.tiger)

[modders_only] in theory, with a packer, it could be even possible to modify meshes, to an extent, even without fully know the DRM format. we can't freely edit a mesh, because we can't pack it back in its original format, but we might be able to change only the chunks of data we know (i.e. vertex, ...

Re: Tomb Raider (2013) (PC) (PS3) (XBOX) (*.tiger)

Hi, I didn't follow the whole discussion, could someone please point me to the tools that have been developed to unpack the meshes?
Thanks

Re: Tomb Raider (2012) (PC) (PS3) (XBOX) (*.000.tiger)

I haven't checked yet by myself, but I guess TR9 CDRM format should be similar to TRU one. There's already a nice tool for that and sources are freely available http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?t=142318 Binary: http://www.volny.cz/pavlicd/UnpackTRU/UnpackTRU3.96.zip Sources: http://www...

Re: FF 13 3D models ripping possible ...

try to build it with Dev-CPP. its a simple IDE for mingw compiler.
Does this version do textures as well, or is there a separate program for it?
no, there is no public tool at this moment for that.

Re: FF 13 3D models ripping possible ...

well, you should redirect output to a file:

Code: Select all

programname.exe filename.trb > mesh.obj
the program does not consider imgb files, thus no textures sorry. I made a separate tool for the textures, starting from the code MrAdults kindly shared some post ago.

Re: Onechancara Models: Can Someone Make Vertex Dumper

Hi Surveyor, if you shift vertex start by (vertex_data_size-36)/3, you'll get the meshes in world coordinates: http://i39.tinypic.com/ndx2ea_th.png deformed meshes depend by some vertices with one or two coordinates with apparently wrong values. There must be an explanation for this :) http://i41.ti...

Re: Onechancara Models: Can Someone Make Vertex Dumper

I had a quick look at this; it should be an easy format to decode, and the girl must be pretty :) data is big-endian, vertices are standard IEEE 754 half-float here's the (conversion routine) http://i42.tinypic.com/6ypflf_th.png the CAN file is a container, which contains other CAN archive files and...

Re: FF 13 3D models ripping possible ...

heh, I was wondering what would happen if someone edits the file list in order to make 005 point at 595 and then runs the game  Here's my attempt , bones/skinning are way out of my reach atm. @MrAdults: are you going to release something like a collada converter? and what about textures? thanks!

Thank you MrAdults, everything is fine now.

I'm not sure of what you mean with "untiling" textures; I have some "experience" with 360 textures. Let me know if I can help.

Re: FF 13 3D models ripping possible ...

@revelation: thank you, you saved me quite some time. few questions: is MESH_STMS_DECL-offset the offset to locate the vertex/uv/normals/etc inside the dataBytes array? if so, are uv and normals stored as signed 16 bit integers per component? do uv have some particular encoding? This is what i got f...

uv coords, normals, bones/skinning and texture files left to do.
of course any help will be appreciated.
