Mario Kart Wii (Sfx)

Took a look at the brsar's of Mario Kart to find these audio files. I don't know anything about Nintendo audio files what so ever. All contain "RWAV" as first 4 chars. File also looks similar to a standard .wav. Anyone have any insight or experiences with Nintendo audio?

Re: Smash Online

I don't think Lzop will decompress these files. You may have luck with Savage's decompressor in the gears of war thread in this same forum. The problem is that lzo has many variants while decompression is rather generic you need to know the exact method to compress. The only way I know to verify the...

Re: Kabus 22 .wrs file

It is compressed something along the lines of LZSS. No expert on that type of compression but some here are pretty good with it.

Re: Capcom x360 ARC compression

Well if you could attach a small Dead Rising sample again I can show you. I didn't carry over many things over to new computer and wiped most of my data. I have a folder that still resides on one drive that is entitled Dead Rising and it only contains a few decompressed files. I am going by memory h...

Re: Capcom x360 ARC compression

I have decompressed Dead Rising files, this is not the same. Dead Rising was zlib based. I am not sure on this one.

Re: Smash Online

I have no idea what is going on in this thread. One brief glance indicates it is my old friend LZO. attached pic. That exe is compressed same way.

Re: XBOX360 .big archiv

0x08 begins a Big Endian Short that indicates the compressed sized. It is followed 78DA which of course is zlib compression. There are a fair amound of zlib compressed packages per archive each begins with the same Big Endian Short. Decompressed first package and can verify it is zlib. You'll find t...

This file looks compressed with LZO compression. Has anyone tested it? EDIT: Maybe http://www.lzop.de is appropriate for that. I'm not sure that'll do the trick. The Gears of War thread has a decompressor attached in there... I have not tried it but that would be more suitable. I used some existing...

Extracting from these files is god-awful easy. Notice this is in the completed section because it is done. The archive specs are complete. I'm saying that to use the data you need to know what it is. That is the next step you can either seperate it into 4 categories by looking at header data and gue...

Just to show you I'm not full of crap from the file you posted the Compressed portion and the decompressed portion of the same file. The Compressed file is obviously more than one chunk of compressed data. That is why the decompressed one is smaller than the compressed. This was just a quick test to...

I don't know what happened to my def list it has been forever! I looked around for a bit and found my small def file. This is not complete! I do not know what happened to my other work. This file is worthless really without something that uses it. The filenames were chopped in this def list. See my ...
