Hi Vosvoy,
From a quick glance at the files, looks like you found a new variant. Some of them even crash DecUbiSndGui (uh-oh). I'm not around these parts much any more so I can't say when or if I get around to looking at it.

Re: UbiSoft Audio Stream Decoder
That's because sound.dat is larger than 2 GB, and DecUbiSnd is 32-bit and won't support files that big. You can either break sound.dat into smaller chunks and scan them, or use the Watch Dogs .dat file unpacker (I don't know the link offhand) and scan the resulting files. If there's need in the futu...

Re: TitanFall (.vpk) archives
Zench do you mean you are able to extract files from the packages with that hack ? : Yes, I tested it out on a couple files. It's not really automated; instead of making it myself I figured cra0 could add it to his nice looking tool. Repacking is technically possible but probably wouldn't let you p...

Re: TitanFall (.vpk) archives
I actually just modified lzhamtest as a quick hack to make sure it was working. The function you're using should work just fine. Error code 4 means it failed to initialize the decompressor state, and it looks like the only way this can happen is if the params struct (called options in your screensho...

Re: TitanFall (.vpk) archives
I did some digging and found that the compression it uses is lzham Alpha 8 (you need to get it from svn). Set the dictionary size to 20. Some files aren't compressed (e.g. audio tracks).

Re: Prince of Persia HD Trilogy (PS3) - *.BF [Gear BigFile]
For the record (unfortunately have to resurrect a dead thread to do it) I've figured this one out. It's nearly the same as aluigi's BMS script but with deflate compression. Here's a Python script to do the extraction. The script also creates a _stripped version of the extracted file which works in D...

Re: UbiSoft Audio Stream Decoder
Hey - trying to use this thing with the PC version of Batman: Vengeance... I can't figure out what to rip; I can get what seem to be .wav files from the maps.SM0 and strm.SM0 files, but it's just static nonsense with what sounds like the voices [my target] intermixed - albeit horribly garbled, low ...

Re: EA Layer 3 Extractor/Decoder
Well, there isn't at the moment but it should be trivial to add. Unfortunately I found a bug related to that in the latest version of ealayer3 and I don't have the willpower to test everything right now. (During encoding the program writes the incorrect number of samples to the file.) I'll see when ...

Re: EA Layer 3 Extractor/Decoder
EA Layaer 3 Extractor doesn't work properly with xxx files of Medal Of Honor 2010(PC). it seems these files contain more than one stream and EA Layaer 3 Extractor only extract first stream. Is there any option in EA Layaer 3 Extractor to extract all streams? Yes: -s all It will create an MP3 file f...

I believe so. And if not it wouldn't be too hard to add support.jfwfreo wrote:Do you know if this encoder will produce files that can be used with Command & Conquer 3 or Red Alert 3?

Re: EA Layer 3 Extractor/Decoder
Encoding support added in version 0.6.0 :D Currently the only output format supported is headerless version 5, which looks to be the most common format (should work with FIFA). Also, uncompressed samples aren't supported yet; it only makes a difference on tracks that need seamless looping. Example ...

Well, then, I guess you're right in that respect.
Anyways, let's get back on topic.
Well, you can do that if you want but it doesn't matter so much to me.jfwfreo wrote:The way to answer it once and for all would be to find copies of data from the 360 and PS3 games so it can be analyzed.

Re: NBA 10 Xbox 360 XMA
First of all, this is not an EALayer3 file. I've examined it very thoroughly, and I am confident. Try running it though hcs's ea_multi_xma . jfwfreo, a modding SDK is not a very good source to cite. I could not find that text anywhere on the internet either; just because it's listed doesn't necessar...

Re: Generic file extractor (help)
Small oversight on my part: /* We want to find the length of this chunk without all the nulls on the end. */ lastWasNull = 0; firstLastNull = l; for (j=0; j<l; j++) { if (s[j] == 0) { if (lastWasNull == 0) { firstLastNull = j; lastWasNull = 1; } } else { lastWasNull = 0; firstLastNull = l; /* This l...
