Insane: do you have any idea (as a programmer), how to write a code, that is able to open the diablo 3 objects and attach the textures to them. Also the mtl file is needed to be linked somehow, but I have no clue at all. Ofcourse i do, trivial task, either OpenGL/D3D or even more simplier in Away/P...

This is a sample code in away3D: It opens an OBJ file, puts the layers, shaders, textures onto it, and then rotates a light around the object continuously. We even need no light to add to the file. Hey, I fonud some examples scripts (for ex. loading an .obj file + mapping, textures, etc...), and I could reach to load a .obj from Diablo3, but without any textures. The application would be very basic, so it's enough if I can load the .obj + the textures in it, and then rotate and zoom the model...

Hey Insane, The guys (NPD2006 and Taylor) could open the .obj files, and could attach the textures (.dds) somehow in Maya / Blender. I could only open the .obj files, so I have basic problems with using Maya and Blender :) I need to understand the basic concept of the texturing methods to be able t...

Yeah you do, but problem is, theres no .mtl for now, i mean theres one but noone hckd it yet.
So the only way to do that, is redo all 4400 .app files :)
Well, are you after showing theese models via some 3rd party 3D engine am i right ?

What do you mean, "..requires some serious conversion trix..." ? T. If you import an .obj from your app straight into Studio or even DE, verticles are calculated incorrectly, well atleast for me. For me it worked with Blender > Studio combo, so i had to import model into Blender first and than expo...

Atleast for 12' Design.

Anyone can point me wheres the reference between *.app and *.tex files please?
The # (first uint after 16 byte header) isnt referenced anywhere in .app, also if anyone have any though about how item names (from _atlas) connected to .app? Wheres the pointer to name? :( Thanks.
