Re: Tools of the trade

010 Editor is a hex editor with perfect features for game archive research. Download a trial at http://www.sweetscape.com/010editor/ Especially Binary Templates distinguish this hex editor from any other. Can't say I'm a fan, it has some crappy registry entries for its shell integration, messing up...

Edit OK!! I tried.. Used NKCSS Data Extractor, and opened this file - added from 80 bytes to the full value - and WOHOO! I've got an MP3 containing over 6 hours of material.. Though, when I try to scrub through the MP3, Windows Media Player freeze up. But it's certainly the correct file. ;) Edit 2 ...

What about the music? I didn't know there was an exclusive version with the soundtrack as a CD before someone mentioned it at the Ubi-forums. Is there any chance there will be tools available to extract the superb music? The NDE tool + scripts extracts over 6000 mp3s from the game archives, the mus...

Calling out to all the creative graphic artists in here :)

I am currently rebuilding my website http://www.nickkusters.com (took my old theme from http://www.nkcss.com and modified it a bit). I am kind-off looking for a new look and some theme sites for specific products. Are there people in here who would like to create a site design in .psd format form me...

I was still a bit curious about that 'L' in lseek, it turns out my suspicions were right (according to http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/1yee101t(VS.80).aspx ). Even though he doesn't use the _lseek but a older lseek, it seems to be the MS C++ flavour that adds the L (just speculating here, C...
