Re: Tips on income/financial support of the Game Research Fo

I use a few advertisers - Intergi, who have a minimum user requirement, and CPMstar who do an alright job - better than Google did when I used them. If you need to reduce costs, I have my own dedicated hosting server which I could offer to you at a heavily reduced rate. While I've had a falling out ...

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis

As a side note, Google Adsense shut down their ads on our forum.xentax.com domain, because of violation of copyright rules. Claiming this as an example: http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?t=2870 So you see, we walk the thin line here, and Google decided for us and turned against our thin line. T...

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis

That's why Noesis exists. So people can learn from content they own. Not so you can illegally distribute that content all over the internet. £1000? Shared hosting would handle your site just fine at <£200/year, unless you're getting tens of thousands of downloads per month. I pay $150 USD a year an...

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis

I am actually shocked that you guys believe I could make a living from these sites - the server costs are incredibly high, and advertising is by far no means a well paying venture. As for the issue of legalities, I've also spoken those in the field of games development as well as those in the law bu...

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis

I of course don't go out of my way to piss companies off, but the additional point there is that Nintendo do not own the content to Sega's games. As such they can issue a warning to remove their content specifically, to which I would heed. I've been warned by Nintendo in the past, for example, to re...

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis

And I just happened to notice the link in Dazz's signature. Dazz, what the hell are you doing? At the very least your site is in violation of the UK's DEA and probably plenty of other shit that I don't even know about because I'm not familiar with UK digital copyright law. And did it not provide yo...

Re: Señor Casaroja's Noesis

Is there any easy way using the batch command to have the output files in their own folders? I'm trying to batch from a game, but they all use the same texture names, so they would overwrite each other...

Is that not a viable possibility? Or is it just something that hasn't really been seen before?

Dengeki Gakuen RPG - Cross of Venus

I've had a lot of requests for me to look into ripping from this game, but so far I'm not having much luck. It doesn't use standard formats, so I was hoping somebody here might be able to help me out. 3 example files: http://www.spriters-resource.com/dazz/btl_ch_syana.pack http://www.spriters-resour...

Re: Grandia 2

I've been trying to load these models up, but I'm not getting any textures appear on Noesis. Any advice?

I'm using the PC version, but also have the Dreamcast version. I can load them up seperately, but they aren't loading up together..

Chaos Wars .UN2 (Seems very easy)

I'm looking for a means to ripping the sprites from this game, but so far I've only found a japanese application that will extract the CG artwork, and is hard coded just to do that. The format seems pretty standard, but I'm a moron when it comes to this stuff. I'd love something that could just outp...

Does that mean it's using LZS compression?
I would presume so - I hadn't spotted that, to be quite honest (Total noob)
I'm a bit out of my depth with 3D models - I'm very much new to it all. I'm more of a sprites guy.
