Re: Darkness 2/Warframe/Star Trek Compressed audio (headerle

Wow, this is proving to be a tough nut to crack for everyone involved. I particularly am working on the voice clips from Darkness 2. Going off of GMMan's notes in his "Evolution Engine Cache Extractor" thread, the "H" variant files of misc_en.cache (which is where the voices are kept) don't look lik...

Rayman 3 HD Stream.h00/1 (360)

Hello, I've been looking into this for awhile now and I can't find a solution anywhere. I'm assuming by their names that they contain the game's music files and that it may actually be a split archive instead of two individual ones, I could very well be wrong though. If anyone here could write a scr...

Re: Alternate way to find the interleave of PS2 ADPCM?

Ok, nevermind that nevermind post, because I have a new problem now. I KNOW I have the right interleave because the music plays spot on, however, vgmstream is only converting half the song (and yes, I did add the ss2 header beforehand). It's weird because the decoded file is perfect but then it just...

Alternate way to find the interleave of PS2 ADPCM?

The thing is I followed the method posted by snakemeat to calculate it by looking for another occurrence of the first 0x10 bytes of data, but it looks like these files from Spongebob Squarepants: The Movie are one of those instances where it doesn't work. So my question is, is there another way to m...

Re: Darkness 2/Warframe/Star Trek Compressed audio (headerle

How did this thread get buried?

I too am curious about this unplayable audio (specifically from Darkness 2). Can't anyone help me and Pepper?

I can also upload samples if need be through PM.

Re: Evolution Engine Cache Extractor

It probably has a different cache version. If the BMS script is to be trusted, this version could be using a different compression algorithm than later games. Send me a sample.
Actually, your "fixed" version seems to be doing the trick now. :)

Re: Evolution Engine Cache Extractor

Um, is The Darkness 2 supported? Because the program keeps telling me that it can't read the archive.

Re: Gotham City Impostors (PC) .SND

Ok i'm still getting nowhere with these on the pc version so I switched to the ps3 version, they are still .snd archives but their filesizes are considerably smaller (most likely because the contained audio is in a compressed codec for the PS3) I will upload a sample if anyone can help me.

Re: Gotham City Impostors (PC) .SND

Well that would explain why the tools/scripts aren't working. But that also means extraction will be all the more difficult doesn't it?

Re: Gotham City Impostors (PC) .SND

I already tried that using Alpha's scanner script, Hyperipper, and Ravioli scanner and none of them found a single thing.

Gotham City Impostors (PC) .SND

Hello I have successfully extracted the .Arch01 archives from this game using one of Alpha23's qbms scripts (since its architecture is very similar to F.E.A.R. 2) and it resulted in numerous .snd files which are supposed to contain .wavs as they did in FEAR 2. So I tried using the SNDExtractor from ...

Aha! That must have been what I was doing wrong, I just assumed it was only 2 channels. Thank you sir.

Nightmare Before Christmas : Oogie's Revenge PS2 ADPCM

So I've been trying to get these files to play correctly in either vgmstream or adpcm player but neither work. I've also tried Alpha23's ss2 re-interleave/header adding scripts but to no avail. So here's a sample of what I'm trying to work with, straight from the archive: http://www.mediafire.com/do...

Re: Unpacking models from a game?

Sorry to intrude here but, did this archive structure ever get figured out? I'm looking through the game's files myself, mainly for the backing tracks for the songs. I also seriously hope they are streams and not in the complicated psf2 format.
