Re: Atlus / Shin Megami Tensei series [PS2] (*IPS/IPU)

I've been working on a translation project recently, and while things have just started to wrap up nicely, I've found myself wanting to translate the text of a video file or two before releasing it.. Unfortunately the videos are in IPS format, which there seems to be little and less information abou...

UMvC3 PC *.mod Format

Another MT Framework game from Capcom, with yet another revision to their MOD format. Current extractors\importers ( such as FluffyQuack's ) that I'm aware of don't seem to do the job, sadly. Would be neat to start modding this game, there's certainly a large enough community full of artists just dy...

Anyone willing to help with this ATLUS compression?

I've been researching PS2-era ATLUS games and noticed an occurrence of this same compression format in a lot of their RPG's (SMT3, DDS, DDS2, DS, DS2). Below I've included a RAR containing an uncompressed file (PAC) and a version of the same exact file - but compressed (LB). The compression seems re...

Re: FF 13 3D models ripping possible ...

Hi Krisan. the trb main structure is very simple to rebuild. Its the pesky node based SEDBwrb block that is a pain in the ass to repack. I don't even know if it could be called node based, but whatever it is, its pretty messy. WRB -->MDL ---->MESH ------->STMS ------->STMS ---->MESH ------->STMS --...

Re: FF 13 3D models ripping possible ...

OK, I see what you're saying. Actually it's funny you mentioned that because I just noticed some problems with my importers. :P Did you try the texture dumper I made for Blender? Obviously the PC textures aren't tiled so all I did was comment out the code that byte-swaps and untiles the data. I hav...

Re: FF 13 3D models ripping possible ...

I imported some random 13-2 PC, NPC, and airship models just fine or are you talking about something else? Also, is this the same FFXIIITool you're talking about? http://steamcommunity.com/app/292120/discussions/0/613939294277998633/?fp=2#p2 Sorry, I didn't mean there was an issue with your importe...

Re: FF 13 3D models ripping possible ...

The model formats weren't really messed with. They just changed the shaders/materials for PC. The SEDBwrb section is exactly the same. That's why the importers I made a year+ ago still work - I never messed with the material data. I did just add an importer for Blender 2.73 though. Eh, I'm not so s...

Re: Final Fantasy XIII PC Modding.

There's nothing special to extracting it, it's essentially the same exact type of container as the console versions.

Re: Final Fantasy XIII PC Modding.

Just thought I'd tune in for a sec.. XIII-2 for the PC was just released some hours ago. I've already been prodding at it, and from the looks of it the containers extract relatively easily (much like with XIII) but the same problem with the models persist. At a glance, I can't really tell exactly wh...

Re: Final Fantasy XIII-2 Save Format (PS3)

Yeah I did. The encryption scheme seems to be different between the two.. That tool can't open the PS3 save files, and while it does "try" to decrypt the PS3 version, it basically just spits out a garbled mess as a result. There's a few things I'm curious about in the save file, namely how character...

Re: Final Fantasy XIII-2 extraction

Wait a sec.. I think I see the problem. I tried the script posted on the last page in this thread, not the one you ORIGINALLY posted in the Noesis thread. Huh. I'll need to poke around to be sure, but I think that's all my problem was. Edit: Yep, that was definitely my problem. The original script w...

Re: Final Fantasy XIII-2 extraction

Well yes. The two Noel TRB's are around 500k and the IMGB is around 3-4mb. The problem is that his IMGB isn't working with his TRB's, it's only working with this mysterious 7kb TRB that contains no mesh whatsoever. And I see now that you managed it, but I have no idea what you did, hmm.. Curse it all.

Re: Final Fantasy XIII-2 extraction

I'm not sure you understand the problem I'm having. That or I misunderstand what you're asking me to do here. The IMGB file was manually matched the the 7kb TRB, which is the only TRB it will export the textures with. When matched to either of the other two Noel models, the textures don't export at ...
