You can do this manually in 3DS Max by selecting the normal modifier on the whole model. If you want to do this via script, an easy way i can think about right now is just doing this thing via script. You should before consider seeing how are you placing the vertices of the model to fix the normals,...

The best thing for that is to merge the whole thing yourself. Usually in games each mesh has it's own rigged skeleton even if it's the same, specially when it's the kind of character with switchable meshes. Try to do a maxscript that calls both the mesh script and the rig script, so you can put both...

This quickbms thing is awesome for what i've seen, i should learn how this works too, now that i got more or less the hang of the 3d model formats, this must be harder though.

That's because it's a Transformation matrix and not Quats i belive, it would be so weird, in fact, you can't position with quaternions in 3DS MAX, it just doesn't make any sense. If you want to export and you have the import, just change the reads to writes and you should get the job done :P

People here can't help you to what you are asking, has nothing to do with this forum since it has something to do with hacking the game itself and not with the format, since the acutal game's SCN are not compatible with the old SCNs, why? i don't know.I really doubt people can help you here since no...
