Re: Rip models & maps from any 3D game

3D Ripper DX allows you to rip models & whatnot from DirectX 9.0 applications (emulators included). Have yet to test it out myself, but apparently you'll need a really beefy pc. One 'good' example: now is possible to rip models from PC MGS2, and make good HL2 mod based on it. :) Games have been usi...

Re: Final Fantasy 7 remake

The tool works great and I was able to extract Corneo's office and a few other locations plus furnishings. However only the color map is automatically assigned when I upload into Blender. Does the Tool auto assign the normals, MRVs, and occlusions maps as well? Also, does the auto assign work on ch...

Re: Unity Engine Assets Formats

awhile ago Daz had a sale on the Unity prototyping Game Assets. Is there anything that takes the .unitypackage or unity .prefab and converts it to FBX? I've check Noesis (google search), but couldn't find if it supported it through a plugin or if there was a trusted plugin? Why not just use unity? ...

Awesome work Jay!
There a small number of you guys just holding down the MGS fort, awesome stuff.

Does this tool happen to support animations from within cutscenes or is it purely gameplay animations?

Re: Using Noesis to view and export spell animations from FINAL FANTASY XI?

As far as I can tell, Noesis does not currently have the ability to load, preview, or export the animation effects for spells and abilities in FFXI, which is a real shame because some of the spell effects are pretty frickin' sweet. Is there anything that can be done about this? Noesis can read bone...

Re: Ys VIII Lacrimosa of Dana (PSVita)

It's been over a year, I've removed all the files sorry.
It would be easier to get the files from the PC version though.
the PC versions textures are all DDS files (if you get the free HD Texture pack the company offers for player), it's only the models that're still unknown.

Re: Parasite Eve (PS1)

Thanks for this but when i click Parasite_img.exe it just open it then say it stopped responding..and crash Edit, why did I expect to get a reply... Did you extract the parasite eve ISO/bin file? PE.IMG is a file inside of that, its 201,380KB. Also if you're using Chrome, make sure to right click t...

Re: ACViewer: Assassin's Creed games viewer

Are all of these environment meshes also fully exportable to OBJ/FBX or any other format.
I saw a lot of mention about characters but didn't spot anything much about environments just yet.

Re: Metal Gear Solid 1 - Animate obj files

I doubt you actually read what Pepsee is saying. He's not saying OBJ is the format that contains animation data, instead it's the Max script for the RE1 models that turn the segmented parts of the mesh into a rigged and animated form, which is then turned into a format which DOES contain animations...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 1 - Animate obj files

Yes and no. If you check out RE1MV and RE2MV, meshes are exported to OBJ's, segmented. Upon using the 3ds max script they are automatically rigged, each section is attributed it's characteristic bone. Here: https://youtu.be/Fx3NULUpf0k It's not yes/no, it's entirely no unfortunately. That max scrip...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 1 - Animate obj files

You can't animate OBJ files, OBJ isn't a format that can contain bones or animation data, it's a purely model data format. You'd need to get them out of the game in a whole different format. Re: Metal Gear Solid (series) - Tools

When I use the SECA tools to convert stage kmd to obj, the materials are all looking for textures that are random 4 character pngs, but the textures that I extract from the stg_tex1.dar are all properly named things like "m00_pla_flo4.png" so I have no idea which textures the model is trying to loa...

Re: Does anyone know how to rip 3D Models from PS1 games?

I'm working on a remake of a game is a personal project, and it would be great if I could access the original models as a reference. Link to a tutorial would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! It depends heavily on the game. The PS1 had some common formats, but a large number of games also ...

I guess C base color ,A alpha ,N tangent normal, O roughness,M shallow color.... Am I correct? So what does B NB stand for and how can I use them in blender? Thx :] Hi! Y...
