As far as I can tell, Noesis does not currently have the ability to load, preview, or export the animation effects for spells and abilities in FFXI, which is a real shame because some of the spell effects are pretty frickin' sweet. Is there anything that can be done about this? Noesis can read bone...

It's been over a year, I've removed all the files sorry.
It would be easier to get the files from the PC version though.
the PC versions textures are all DDS files (if you get the free HD Texture pack the company offers for player), it's only the models that're still unknown.

Are all of these environment meshes also fully exportable to OBJ/FBX or any other format.
I saw a lot of mention about characters but didn't spot anything much about environments just yet.

I doubt you actually read what Pepsee is saying. He's not saying OBJ is the format that contains animation data, instead it's the Max script for the RE1 models that turn the segmented parts of the mesh into a rigged and animated form, which is then turned into a format which DOES contain animations...

Yes and no. If you check out RE1MV and RE2MV, meshes are exported to OBJ's, segmented. You can't animate OBJ files, OBJ isn't a format that can contain bones or animation data, it's a purely model data format. You'd need to get them out of the game in a whole different format. When I use the SECA tools to convert stage kmd to obj, the materials are all looking for textures that are random 4 character pngs, but the textures that I extract from the stg_tex1.dar are all properly named things like "m00_pla_flo4.png" so I have no idea which textures the model is trying to loa...

I would be very interested in exporting bioshock 1 and 2 maps, I would like to be able to recreate rapture, is it possible to do it? Bioshock isn't unreal engine. The thread and tools are specific to unreal engine games. Any tool for any non-unreal game would probably be best left to its own thread...
