Thank you so much!
but i can't unzip file gz by winzar and 7zip

:( :D

the download is in your browser's cache.

So I think you need to know how to convert the model to wavefront obj?

crash course:
  • find the model file in the cache
    (string geometry.bin in the header)
  • rename it to some_name.gz, unzip it
  • use hex2obj0.22c (view link in my sig)
  • press mesh button -> test.obj
  • test.obj contains the model without uv data
  • don't use File/SaveAs mesh
  • pay attention to webgl authors' copyrights

this gonna going to be an endless story? :D

Looks like your geometry.bin isn't compressed.

(The model I referred to ("StoneBuddha") has a "geometry.bin" string in the belonging cache file's header
which your sample has not.)

iirc the buddha was from sketchfab not from verold site

Most large models won't work with the reintialized script, however there is a large model version of the script that did work, but not anymore since he has not updated it for the site:(
hopefully if he has the time he'll get around to it.

Yeah I noticed that to, I doubt he will update it but respect him for making such an easy extraction tool.

Yeah he certainly did a great job with that script!

btw, anyone here have any idea about converting the original compressed .bin file back to an original .ply format that retains vertex colors?

I noticed some uploaders have 100s even 1000s of scan data that uses .ply format with color data, would love to be able to view some of them in blender with the vertex colors;)

What's the current process for exporting webgl models?

Are there any browser extensions that piggyback on the browser's own loading routines? For example, browser knows how to load the model, and then the extension exports it to other formats.

Yeah there are browser plugins to get models from sketchfab and p3d.in, just look earlier in the thread.

WebGL-Inspector will let you view all the WebGL calls on such a page, including the vertex buffers.
