Hello People!

I'm new to this site and I am very interested in web gl extraction. Could someone kindly explain how to extract a 3dmodel from sites like sketchfab or similar through the web gl procedure.

I've been doing tons of research but I'm not very keen in programming.

Thanks in advance and worry if this has been spoken to death.

My best regards

Arboreologia

Yes, Reinitialized, couldn't you update these scripts for Sketchfab? Or they change a way of loading WebGL content so it is not possible now?

PS. Last day I discovered that old script named sketchfabtoobj or sketchfab-scene-exporter was updated 1-2 days ago, but it still doesn't work with new Sketchfab engine. I mean that now I see the red link OBJ-DOWNLOAD at all sketchfab pages in Chrome and Firefox 47 but I cannot download anything, because of the pop-up windows telling me that the script failed, because something changed at Sketchfab. Yes, I know they changed the way of showing the models via OpenGL. Does it mean the scripts are completely unusable now, or they can be remade to avoid the new security system? I tried this script with Chrome 63.0.3239.84 64-bit and Tampermonkey and with Firefox 47 and Greasemonkey. Which browser fits best for this script? Here is the screenshot of the error -

The second question is about cached models, which are downloaded to my PC. I have read all the thread and found the way to dig out these model.bin.gz files in my Chrome cache, but I am unable to hack them. And they cannot be unzipped on Windows 7, I tried 7zip, WinRar, Winzip of the latest versions, but they cannot read this particular kind of archives. Is there any way to unzip these files with any online converter or any tool, able to get their contents? I think it would be cool if any of profi hackers can work out a script, which can convert these files to OBJ also. If it is possible at all.

Need help!
Recently I discovered the nice tool named 3D Model Researcher, designed specially to decode any unknown binary model formats and wanted to test it with sketchfab binary BIN files, after I solved finally my problem with unarchiving this nasty GZ. All proved to be simpler than I suspected - I downloaded the original model.bin.gz files by their http source links, using the Network tab on Developer tools in my Firefox and Chrome browsers and I downloaded them via Download Master v 6.14 from https://westbyte.com/dm/ (one of the latest versions), not via File-Save as. This application can automatically unpack such gz archives and extract the original model.bin, so you may delete the archived files and combine unarchived bins in your own archive for each model. I download all 3 files - model.bin, model.wireframe.bin and file.osgyz as txt file but I don't know how to parse them via hex editor to get all necessary data to recreate 3d model as OBJ. I know that file.osgjs.txt contains the visual info about offsets, counts and other possibly necessary data. I tested 3D Model Researcher and tried to use hextoobj, putting in those offset and count numbers in file.osgjs. But all what I got so far is just several vertices in a cloud. Here is my simplest sample archive from Sketchfab - https://drive.google.com/open?id=165NrC ... PrFNbf3Frt , which contains original binaries of this model - https://sketchfab.com/models/86da09fc19 ... ec9d1e8252 . It's a small model of one mesh chunk, which consists of 172 vertices and 87 faces according to its file.osgjs structure. But when I try to rebuild it with above-said tools, I get just errors, mostly about face indices. Is there a way to hack these Bin files to convert them to OBJ files, maybe even without UVs?

As a person who can extract any model from sketchfab, I can assure you that automated tools are not that good.

some analysis and knowledge are required to get a reasonable result in a short time.

for example this model is not so complicated : https://sketchfab.com/models/597bc8e365 ... 871277b695

https://www.sendspace.com/file/b2shev

using ninja ripper or other tools is not supported with all browsers, and the 64/32 bit versions will make most browsers fail.
