Yes, varint is some kind of encrypted format;
Maybe it can be decoded, but that would be a conflict of interest with the authors of Sketchfab.
After all, people like you and me have uploaded their models there

not sure if this still works I am trying to look into it using opera.

Quote:
Usually in your browser you can enable a “developer” or “debug” mode. Then there’s usually a menu item like “Debug javascript” or “Show error console” that will bring up a javascript shell/terminal. Then you can just paste in javascript that will execute on the page.

I used his link for the bulldog to get this AK-47 from elysium to show in a different mode as seen in this page here: https://sketchfab.com/models/95ea7d4815f74a6d92700b826958fa3a

not sure if this will work yet but it's another angle that seems to have worked at one time. do with it as you will I am trying my best to get this model I posted here.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this already, but its possible to (at least partially) rip models via NinjaRipper + Firefox.

Just Run Firefox in NinjaRipper like you would a game, go to the sketchfab model page, Hit F10 (or whatever your hotkey is) and then follow the NinjaRipper standard operating procedure.

The initial results are far from ideal, but with some cleanup you can get geometry. This method of course also works with p3d.in and star citizen holo viewer... and im sure the rest of webgl apps.

It was possible in the past to get models from sketchfab and surprisingly it's possible for this model, too.
But FabianDAbundo wrote "I cannot make it downloadable or 3d printable, sorry."
That was one year ago - maybe he changed his mind meanwhile. You might ask him.

(and 'no': don't ask me how to do it)

I hate to be THAT user but I am hoping that if someone who does get this stuff to work might be able to help me. https://sketchfab.com/models/95ea7d4815f74a6d92700b826958fa3a/embed?autostart=0&transparent=0&autospin=0&controls=1

that's the model I've been trying to get. if someone who got it to work can get me the .rip file of this model you would have no idea how greatful I'd be.

I have the newest firefox. windows 8 and was using ninja ripper 1.3.1. I used the "intruder inject" and it sets a frame up when I hit f10 . but no rip files are produced.
I reworked my mozilla folder and injected with d3dx11 injector. still nothing.

if it's my ninja ripper version then I can get others.

this the one and only model I really want from that site. been trying every method on this site to get it. anyways thanks for your time.

I know you have written to ask you how you did it, but please do this once, you can make an exception?

A new Ninja Ripper v1.5.1 (download - http://cgig.ru/ninjaripper/ )
Internet browser rip process :)

Press Textures rip button (F9 by default) to rip the textures only. Press Forced rip button to rip for a period of a seconds. It's important for ripping web sites (ex: WebGl) with 3d models. Firefox is officially supported only. I should mention that normaly after ripping process is over the game will be unfreezed and you can continue it from the same point. However there're numerous of games which continue runnig during ripping process or games which screen will dimmed after ripping process so you can hear the game but can't see it.

Internet browser rip process »

The only tested browser is Firefox. Used specs: windows 7 x64, geforce GTX 660.

1. run Ninja Ripper;
2. setup Settings/Forced button to F4 (or any other button wich browser doesn't use);

Image

- setup Forced Rip Interval (sec) to 5-10 (defaul is 3 sec);
Image

3. run firefox.exe through ninja ripper (mode: D3D9 Wrapper);
4. open website you want to rip in firefox:
Image

example: https://sketchfab.com/models/68f2c2374a ... 2e44d2cebd

5. wait until webpage load completely;
6. tap F4 to start ripping process:

- models will be saved along with the textures (models can be duplicated multiple times);

7. open folder whith just ripped 3d models:
Image

search through the rip files by size for size pattern;
identify the file after which the group begins to repeat;
see firefox_rip_process_07.png for example. First 29 files it's a group you looking for;
copy first group of the files to another folder along with the textures for convenience' sake;

8 load rip files into 3ds max with uv pair: 3-4 (with old importer):

Image

[FURTHER PROPERTIES COULD VARY FROM SITE TO SITE OR FROM MODEL TO MODEL]

search through the rip files by size for size pattern;
identify the file after which the group begins to repeat;
see firefox_rip_process_07.png for example. First 29 files it's a group you looking for;
copy first group of the files to another folder along with the textures for convenience' sake;

9. each object consists of 2 meshes: main (most of the polygons - fliped most of the time) and secondary (some randome triangles):

Image

main object polygons need to be inverted;
sometimes UV need to be inverted;
almost every time meshes are randomly placed after import to the 3ds max scene.

10. to rip another model you have to clear Frame0000 folder first, because ripper will not create Frame0001 folder it will rip to Frame0000 folder again.

11. see final model:
Image

12. list of websites with 3d models:

http://p3d.in (scale: 1, uv: 6-7)
https://sketchfab.com/ (scale: ?, uv: 3-4)

this answers all my questions. I got the right files but I am running on windows 8. my question is to those who got the their files to work is the 3d viewer for rips as seen here:http://taylormousegamedev.blogspot.be showing the ripped meshes in it's viewing window? cause mine show file sizes and textures in the folder. but using viewer 2.1 doesn't show anything. oh the view port readjusts to different sizes indicating a shape should be there. but nothings visually showing up in the viewer. my 3d max install is on my other rig. so I can't test it as an import. this viewer hasn't failed me before. so either I am rippping something that is also nothing. or the viewer can't read ripper 1.5.1 model rips for some reason.

just checking in anyone else using the same method to view thier rips and not seeing any verts in the view port? or is it just me for some reason.

and to head things off a little more. I set all the settings as shown in both the post above and in the posted link to ninja rippers own tutorial on ripping. so I should,by all accounts. be seeing something in the view window. will test it on 3d max on my other rig later today. but wondering if this rip viewer is maybe at fault here.

took several rips just to be sure I got the model so fingers crossed. thank you for your efforts and your posts on this it is honestly appreciated.

I followed your exact instructions and nothing happened. I also tried injection. I am running Windows 7 in a virtual machine, but i'm not sure if that would do anything.

Are there firefox settings that need to be in order? Not just the settings page, but also in about:config.

Is there a chance at a global setting like DX had?
