My educated guess would be, because every video card in the world uses triangles to display mesh. Quads and N-gons are simply an abstraction for the benefit of humans. The models are being ripped from the video card buffer, so they are in triangle format, ready to be rendered.

Sorry, I have posted way too many times on this thread lately, but does anyone know how to prevent ninjaripper ripping duplicates of the mesh

Why is ninja ripper not exporting the UV maps and with holes in the object?

I've been playing with ninjaripper, but it just hangs forever.

Does anyone know why ninjaripper refuses to rip anything that animates

I really want some sketchfab models, but my PC doesn´t have ADMIN privileges.

Is someone able to explain texture ripping with ninjaripper in Max more clearly? I set the Uv to 3 - 4 and have flip uv vertical checked. The textures look fine in max but the UV's are not in the 0-1 UV space, and when I export as obj, the UV's are not there
